To start the week the whole school was invited to listen to our guest speaker, Shane Carthy. Shane plays inter-county Gaelic footballer for Dublin. He was a member of the Dublin squad that won the 2016 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and 2016 National Football League. Shane spoke about how he struggled with his mental health and explained that by reaching out to those around him and letting them know he was struggling it allowed him to get the help he needed to deal with his mental health. His story is incredibly brave and was warmly recieved by all students and staff.
